I wanted to write that Capi would bin himself out of this weekend and Spies would be back in, but I knew that one would go over like a lead balloon. I must be getting soft.

My most sincerest, heart-felt, teary-eyed, emo-tastic, sympathies and empathic cries of endless mourning and agony go out to Capi and all of his friends and family and everyone who knows him or considers themselves a fan of him or even thinks of him neutrally.

I am so sad right now I can barely function. I'm on emotional overload and if I hear anyone fail to eulogize his charitable efforts this weekend, I'm going to snap. No one, least of all motorcycle racers, deserves to have anything bad happen to them ever. I'm shocked at this injury, I can't believe this has happened, bad things shouldn't happen to good people. He should compete after having only two hours, 20 minutes of track time at a track he's never seen before? I'm bummed he isn't riding and am of the belief that if you want a GP ride you need to do anything and everything you can to get it. But what's the point? So he can run at the back? And you can't give experience as an example, he will be testing at Indy next week (or 'Soup says). It's a bum deal and disappointing but it makes sense.

Here is the thing. Practices are very important. Its really the make or break part of a good race. It’s not like taking a ride out to the canyon on a morning Sunday ride. There is much involved. First off you gotta get into to this mode mentally, and just as important, you have to get the bike dialed in. Sure he could rush himself into the grid, but being the level headed professional he is, he realizes it is dangerous to himself and the other riders to rush into things. Look, he has already missed two practices, so lets cut the guy a little break. We all would like to see him race again to see his metal, but not at the expense of him putting himself and other regular riders at risk because he may have missed something in set up causing an early exit, god forbid crashing into somebody else. It may not be popular, but it’s the prudent thing to do. Obviously he had intensions of racing, but Loris being the never give up man he is decided to enter the practices. This decision effectively left spies out. I'm sure he was willing to race up until the moment that Loris got onto the track; at that point the decision was done.

What do you think Pinky, do you think he should rush into it. Even if it means risking crashing into Casey?

stoner was still fast at the last few tracks but what is giving him the edge now is the electronics upgrade how can you deny that when its in front of you on paper and proven in his laptimes?

Actually, I'm trying a new approach. I realize 99.999999999% of everything he says is just simply trolling. I've tagged him as much. But I want to see if there is a shred of reason and an ability to articulate behind that brain of Pinky. So in this case, yes, I actually would like to know why he thinks Spies, after missing two practices; on an already short schedule is "chicken shit" for not rushing into a very dangerous and technically demanding sport. I'm wondering if he can debate and carry a point with reasonable and logical articulation. (Am I crazy? --maybe) I suppose I just want to give him a chance to turn from his two-line dig quips and carry an intelligent conversation.
