sad.gif Loris is out for this week-end .... Spies in

[whisper] yay [/whisper]

I wanted to write that Capi would bin himself out of this weekend and Spies would be back in, but I knew that one would go over like a lead balloon. I must be getting soft. laugh.gif

My most sincerest, heart-felt, teary-eyed, emo-tastic, sympathies and empathic cries of endless mourning and agony go out to Capi and all of his friends and family and everyone who knows him or considers themselves a fan of him or even thinks of him neutrally.

cry.gif I am so sad right now I can barely function. I'm on emotional overload and if I hear anyone fail to eulogize his charitable efforts this weekend, I'm going to snap. No one, least of all motorcycle racers, deserves to have anything bad happen to them ever. I'm shocked at this injury, I can't believe this has happened, bad things shouldn't happen to good people. Life should be safe and painless. :primal scream: Somewhere in the world people are dying! I dare someone to say they are happy right now?! :raging hellfire:

laugh.gif Seriously though, I'm a bit disappointed. Capi deserves a lot of respect.

Good job Ducati and Stoner!! All you haters and crybabies saying that it is going to be a runaway, all I can say is, GOOD!!!!! Just cause Ducati is out front by a decent margin and it isn't Rossi in the lead some of your posts are so stupid and it shows the fanboys out there. I hope for a good race but I want the Ducati in the 1st place position. All the others let God sort them out. Except for Pedrosa who can go home now for all I care.

good job ducati you mean......... not a hater or crybabies here but your clearly another twit that doesnt look into what improvements were made to achieve this you just go by what you see on the screen, it was ducati who made this possible not stoner, stoner has always been quick but this time it was the bike that needed sorting and the electronics has fixed that.

He should compete after having only two hours, 20 minutes of track time at a track he's never seen before? I'm bummed he isn't riding and am of the belief that if you want a GP ride you need to do anything and everything you can to get it. But what's the point? So he can run at the back? And you can't give experience as an example, he will be testing at Indy next week (or 'Soup says). It's a bum deal and disappointing but it makes sense.

Perhaps this defines "kids skids" ?

Well try that at say speeds of 60mph plus Arab. let alone 150mph plus :o

According to Arab, Backing it in is initiated by the rear brake and downshifting, I disagree.

Here is the thing. Practices are very important. Its really the make or break part of a good race. It’s not like taking a ride out to the canyon on a morning Sunday ride. There is much involved. First off you gotta get into to this mode mentally, and just as important, you have to get the bike dialed in. Sure he could rush himself into the grid, but being the level headed professional he is, he realizes it is dangerous to himself and the other riders to rush into things. Look, he has already missed two practices, so lets cut the guy a little break. We all would like to see him race again to see his metal, but not at the expense of him putting himself and other regular riders at risk because he may have missed something in set up causing an early exit, god forbid crashing into somebody else. It may not be popular, but it’s the prudent thing to do. Obviously he had intensions of racing, but Loris being the never give up man he is decided to enter the practices. This decision effectively left spies out. I'm sure he was willing to race up until the moment that Loris got onto the track; at that point the decision was done.

What do you think Pinky, do you think he should rush into it. Even if it means risking crashing into Casey?

fruitcake? what are you talking about to we was talking about stoners performance not the other riders i will say it again for you ok...

stoner was still fast at the last few tracks but what is giving him the edge now is the electronics upgrade how can you deny that when its in front of you on paper and proven in his laptimes?

i was discusing stoner not other ducati riders i wasnt taking anything away from stoner, no panic here just saying that this time with better electronics stoner is riding quicker.

how is that panic , how is that taking away credit? unlike you i was trying to understand the sudden improvement in times........ ok let me put it like this......

what is the only thing that is different since the test?

bike ? rider ? or electronics?

its same rider , same bike , different electronics hmm....... you have your answer

Presumably given the lack of other alternatives a shit rider + a shit bike = a world championship given that hayden won one in 2006.

I think this is colloquially known as a self-deprecating sense of humour. Nevertheless your point is valid; I think rossi and stoner have a deal of mutual respect even if some of their fans don't.

Maybe. But Casey is human, and he has made a few mistakes this year, would you agree? So lets imagine he runs a corner wide and comes off track for a moment like he did in round two (i think it was), then he's making his way back up the field. If we had a situation where he has to pass Spies and in that moment there is contact causing a crash, would you still have the same opinion that he should have rushed into the race? Lets dialog, I'd like to get your insight on this since you voiced such a strong opinion questioning Spies' commitment. What do you think Pinky? Can we have a conversation? Make your case please.

BTW, can somebody tell me what Rossi meant from this quote? "seems he feels he is the leader of the `other´ championship!.´" (Its morning here, so maybe I'm just groggy, but I didn't get the joke).

Actually, I'm trying a new approach. I realize 99.999999999% of everything he says is just simply trolling. I've tagged him as much. But I want to see if there is a shred of reason and an ability to articulate behind that brain of Pinky. So in this case, yes, I actually would like to know why he thinks Spies, after missing two practices; on an already short schedule is "chicken shit" for not rushing into a very dangerous and technically demanding sport. I'm wondering if he can debate and carry a point with reasonable and logical articulation. (Am I crazy? --maybe) I suppose I just want to give him a chance to turn from his two-line dig quips and carry an intelligent conversation.

Good luck with that, from what I've read Pinky very rarely answers a post where he gets called out and we all know why
