So I don't know if anyone else here is a big football follower but I am and transfer window is generally my favorite time of year. I check the credible sites and the tabloids probably five times a day just to stay up on the latest gossip. I thought that if anyone else follows it like I do, we could post what we're hearing on this thread.

Rumor: Robinho to Chelsea, 25 million GBP.

Rumor: Xavi Alonso to Juve, 16.5 million GBP.

Rumor: Chelsea have agreed to sell Frank Lampard to Inter for 7 million GBP after negotiations stalled over a 150,000 GBP per week deal and the addition of Deco before Lampard's contract was sorted.

Rumor: David Villa and David Silva have committed to staying with Valencia.

I haven't been paying attention to Man U, but Rinaldo to Real Madrid for 25 million pounds.

southampton fc (saints) is my local club. not a big footy fan but always support my local club.
they were in the premiership for 26 year's until a couple of years ago. southampton has one of the best youth and talent spotting in the country. a lot of very well known players started at southampton.

I know Gomes from PSV is going to the spurs and some swedish dude is replacing him. thomasson is going back to Feyenoord, and another dude from Twente is going to Feyenoord too. no idea what the facts money-wise are.

I doubt it'll happen, Man Utd have apparently offered him a two year extension worth 50 million GBP on top of his 125,000 GBP per week deal to keep him at Old Trafford until 2014. If he does move to Madrid, the transfer fee will be closer to 60 or 70 million GBP.

Rumor: Chelsea have offered Lampard 140,000 GBP per week contract in a take it or leave it scenario. If he declines the offer he will likely find himself sold to Inter Milan.

Rumor: Roman Abramovich has told Luiz Felipe Scolari he must sign one Russian player this transfer window. Andrei Arshavin has not ruled out a move to Stamford Bridge.

Rumor: Gareth Barry's transfer to Liverpool is all but finalized after the club fined Barry 100,000 GBP for criticizing the club and banning him from the first day of pre-season training.

Rumor: Portsmouth will make a final offer to Liverpool of 10 million GBP for Peter Crouch. Portsmouth have had previous offers of 9 million GBP rejected as Liverpool rate Crouch at 15 million GBP. This latest bid will likely be rejected as Liverpool intend to offer Crouch plus 5 million GBP to Tottenham for 20 million GBP rated Robbie Keane.

Rumor: Portsmouth will lodge a bid for Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Rumor: Tottenham will land David Bentley in a 12 million GBP move from Blackburn.

that Redknapp is bent as a nine bob note mate. he left pompy and came over to Southampton to be manager . sold all our best players then fucked off back to pompy. this destroyed Southampton's 26 year's in the premiership and we got relegated. pompy said they would throw a match and loose if it meant the saints went down.

Southampton and pompy is one of the biggest rivalries in the country, to say we hate each other is an understatement.

I lived in London in the area where I'd be a West Ham fan, but I chose to be a Man U person.

it goes a lot deeper than football mate, when supporter's of a rival team visit your town and smash it up the football match ends up nothing more than a staging point for battle. its not as bad these days, putting seats in stadiums cut a lot of trouble plus police intelligence ect but there's still a lot of hard feeling.

i once delivered building materials to fratton park (pompy ground) and i made a point of going into the grandstand and pissing on all there seats

the tree is an oak for the new forest. the flower is the hampshire rose. the river is the river test and the halo is because the clubs nickname is the saints.

its bobby stokes mate and he redeemed himself by scoring i was onbly 9 years old when that match was played by i can still remember it. there were street party's after. saints were the real under dogs but ended up winning.

i didn't no he came through there youth system or that they even had one . i know he was born in pompy and played for the slags at the end of his career. thats even a bit before my time mate
