Just heard it on Sky News this moment, apparently the bike seized during practice at a cross section.

It's a fucking tragedy for his son's, I can't express my sorrow enough for them, and road racing in general.

RIP Robert. sad.gif

wow...r.i.p. fellow rider...

--------------------
Jerry Burgess: "Valentino moved through the field in Barcelona and everyone that he passed got a riding lesson."

"I think that if Casey had raced in the '80s and '90s with Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey and Mick Doohan, he'd have seen that every weekend," the Australian told the official MotoGP website. "It was probably something that he wasn't particularly expecting; [he] probably expected to win the race easily like he'd dominated in the practices."

"Pedrosa put up so little a fight it would have embarrassed a Frenchman"

Seems to have been a lot of this going on recently. I had hoped such days were largely in the past.

Unfortunately road racing is still one of the most dangerous sports around. Always going to be tragedies like this. Sad news but it's going to continue happening. I'm really surprised it hasn't been banned over there yet.

Yea he overtook someone then there was a cloud of smoke and his bike locked up causing him to crash, then the rider behind him couldnt avoid him and clipped him as he was on the road.

Its not been a good start for the Irish road racing year

First Finnegan now R Dunlop, seizing bikes are making stats.
Very very sad, but thats racing.
Live by the sword die by the sword.
Road racing places you in grave danger but,
The crash could of happened anywhere in the world ! He slid straight down the road and was hit by another rider.
