Police dogs could be forced to wear bootees when they search Muslim homes to avoid causing offence.

The Association of Chief Police Officers came up with the suggestion to increase respect for cultural sensitivities as it draws up new guidelines on the use of police dogs.

Dogs are considered "unclean" in Islamic culture and many Muslims refuse to have direct contact with the animals.

It is understood the new guidance could include a recommendation that sniffer dogs should wear rubber-soled bootees when entering mosques and Muslim homes.

A spokesman for the association said: "Where possible the police will take cultural sensitivities into account, providing this does not interfere with effective operational policing."

Leading British imam Ibrahim Mogra said making sniffer dogs cover their feet would not be necessary.

He said: "In Islamic law the dog is not regarded as impure, only its saliva is. Most Islamic schools of law agree on that.

"If security measures require to send a dog into a house, then it has to be done

I'd let the dog lay a big fucking steaming turd on the doorstep of the knob jockey who even thought of this idea.

To think, we are paying for these twats to come up with great suggestions like this.

But those Liberals have to please everyone, even if the spoksperson for the religon in the UK said it was not needed.

What I do not get, is that the police are barging into your home, most likely breaking the door down, looking to arrest the residents and look for bombs/guns/terrorist items, I would think the last thing you'd worry about if you were the Muslim family in question would be having some animal unpure to walk about your home. Wouldn't you worry more about them not finding the bombs/guns/ terrorist items if you had them? What about that door they broke down, that you will have to replace. What about the landlord or neighbors? They might not be too fond of you after the police raid your home. The price of your home would go down, because it is tied with possible terrorist activities.

A joke. I though the liberals and polticians in the US are bad, Britian makes me glad I live where I do.

if you get a chance try to make it down to west hollywood, though that might be a little too far away depending on how much time you have

Ben, if you ever want to make the trip out here you have a place to stay. That's no bullshit, ask Burky, and in two weeks ask Roger. I'm grateful for this site you have created man.
