Dont cry for me Valentino. Favorite memont of 08: Hayden running out of fuel and going in the crouch position at 5mph for less air resistance :) all he needed was those goggles.... any got that pic now?? haha "he who laughs last, laughs the hardest" - Edwards rubbing it in Haydens face or in Haydens case "he who cries last, cries the hardest" |

http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2008/Hayden+...p+fuel+shortage
Two years ago at Assen it was Nicky Hayden who benefitted from Colin Edwards´ last lap bad luck as the Texan rider crashed and the Repsol Honda man went on to take a simple victory in his title winning year, but in the 2008 edition of the race on Saturday the roles were reversed. |

I wouldn't put either down to luck, but it is an amusing coincedence how the two riders involved are the same.

tank capacity is for persons 40 pounds liter...do the math
-------------------- Jerry Burgess: "Valentino moved through the field in Barcelona and everyone that he passed got a riding lesson."
"I think that if Casey had raced in the '80s and '90s with Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey and Mick Doohan, he'd have seen that every weekend," the Australian told the official MotoGP website. "It was probably something that he wasn't particularly expecting; [he] probably expected to win the race easily like he'd dominated in the practices." "Pedrosa put up so little a fight it would have embarrassed a Frenchman" |

tank capacity is for persons 40 pounds liter...do the math I agree. He is probably significantly heavier than okada and the other test riders as well, and his riding style which it would seem is suited to the characteristics of the new engine probably alters fuel consumption too. I thought nicky's performance was very promising, and as I said on another thread the pneumatic yamaha engine had fuel consumption problems initially last year which led to them canning it till this year. I wouldn't think it would take much adjustment to get the honda pneumatic lump to go for another 100 yards with nicky on the bike next race. |

also the honda electronics are not as good as ducati's in this area. the ducati runs out on the parade lap not the last lap of the race. True Not that I think it was fuel related, but the cause of casey stoner's dnf a few races ago appears to remain shrouded in mystery, with ducati not committing to anything other than that it was a technical fault with the engine. Rumours abound that they have changed the engine substantially since then; I think you said one commentator claimed they had changed back to the 2007 engine. Perhaps that engine does have a secret fuel reservoir In all seriousness, I do think that the power the ducati develops under the current fuel restrictions is their most significant advantage. They have always seemed to have powerful engines since joining four stroke motogp racing though. |

Dude, I think you just hit the nail on the head..........good point..... -------------------- Some things in life are vastly underrated. Take bacon. It's never destined to be a premiere cut of meat like say an inch thick rib-eye steak or a rack of lamb. But because of its versatility bacon is an amazing meat product.
You can have it for breakfast, lunch and supper. It can perk up almost any dish from pasta to lasagne. It can compliment salads, pizza, stews, chilli, soup, sandwiches or plain leeks – it even smells amazing when being cooked. It short it's cheap, cheerful and amazingly complimentary but totally overlooked. COLIN EDWARDS......IS bacon. http://www.myspace.com/gerdlaw |

Well what with Curve's claim that Pedrosa is cheating because he ain't no lardboy and the fact that Hayden almost made it the full distance ........ we may actually see Pedrosa on the pnuemo honda sooner than expected. Takes a lot more fuel to tow a lardo around than Pedrosa .......
If Hayden is going faster on it now too then imagine how quick Pedrosa will be --------------------
This, don't forget, is on Tarmac at speeds of 20-30mph'.
Perhaps this defines "kids skids" ? Well try that at say speeds of 60mph plus Arab. let alone 150mph plus :o According to Arab, Backing it in is initiated by the rear brake and downshifting, I disagree. |

Pedro = abnormally sized Nick = Normal human male size. No Curve ...... you have to think like a Japanese Honda designer ...... ie. "We are Japanese we are tiny" " We have great skills ...... and yet we are tiny " along comes Pedrosa and he is even tinier! I'm sure you get the rest of the reasoning They see Hayden as Sumo sized .... which they used to great advantage to knock Rossi out of the ring in 06 ....... thus unsettling him ..... then they expected things to become easier ....... its Stoner who seems to have not followed the plot! indeed he even defected from a LCR Honda to carry out his own coup. --------------------
What's "REAL"? ..... No, real as in normal sized machines that USE to be piloted by MEN, not underpowered pocket bikes mounted by midgets, and "fan" bandwagon jumpers such as yourself .... well that'd be boring as all getout!! ...... Pedrosa is proving that tiny guys are way faster! than your ideal ! ..... whom I shall hereby refer to as "Normy" Hayden Maybe you need to find a series of something with a lot of "normal sized guys" in it racing around ..... it seems a very important criteria for you ..... indeed you are constantly going of about a "normacy" of physical size ....... to the point that I now have visions of you as like that woman in that "gilbert Grape" movie When you say "normal sized" do you mean like hammerthrow normal? .... or lawn bowls normal? --------------------
