I hope you all had a good weekend, because next year it's going to be a lot more painful for you all, when the hard reality of the financial mess your governments and banks have got you into really starts kicking in. Don't let your government pull the wool over your eyes - they are eroding your freedoms as strongly as you celebrate how free you are.

Many people in our country have been trying desperately for decades to shrink the prevalence of the US government. For some reason foreigners have convinced the United States it needs to become a hulking, inefficient, social republic. The US government couldn't have cared less about the transition to socialism because the obvious consequence of centralized power is a government capable of wielding as many guns as charity packages.

I think you made a pretty tasteless post. I can't blame you, I'm sure you feel justified in posting it, but you could have waited until after the most f***ed election in the history of our nation. Neither of these clowns has the power nor the inclination to reduce the prevalence of our government. Both of them use personal suffering as a form of political currency. Vainglorious suffering hasn't solved any serious global crisis. Anyone who loves freedom is in some degree of peril.

If our economy goes in the tank, so will China's, and so will the world's. It's really alarming to think that we've centralized so much power in the hands of a few thousand unemployable stooges. I have more faith in the common uneducated man than I do in these government hacks. Too bad the hacks have turned us against one another.



Oh well, the 4th is for Yankees anyway.

My post was aimed at the general population to denigrate them. It was aimed at complacency. Your freedoms are being eroded and your standard of living is in decline, not to mention the wealth leaving your shores for foreign lands, or by the few fatcats who run the show. The American people need to start waking up to the situation they are in.
Of course neither party will do anything - they aren't willing and or capable. The dollar is going down the sink, the government is running massive budget deficits (mainly to fund the folly of the war in Iraq), oil prices are hurting people, the housing market is in a huge decline caused by the craziness of banks to give credit to anyone and everyone. Inflation is starting to run rampant and jobs are being lost everywhere. All the while, your government removes your freedoms (to protect you ).
But it's good to know Brad and Angelina are having a kid and Brittany hasn't been to detox this week.
Don't worry, the situation isn't too much better here in Oz.
