My Dads business(as disgracefully advertised in my sig tongue.gif ) basically supplies enough parts to make a bike from scratch. He's looking to advertise the business, and what better way to advertise than race? biggrin.gif

We're slowly building up a Ducati 450 Desmo, which will be bored to 500cc (original capacity is 436) and I've been offered the chance to race it! biggrin.gif

I figured I'd use this thread as an ongoing status of the bike, update it with screenies, and just to generally brag. I also know a lot of you like bikes from the 'old' days (my words, not yours) so it's a win-win situation isn't it? smile.gif

Btw Ben, my Dad hasn't forgotten about getting back to you, it's a case of getting the cash after a busy stock month! tongue.gif

At the end, it should look like this beaut!

Jerry Burgess: "Valentino moved through the field in Barcelona and everyone that he passed got a riding lesson."

"I think that if Casey had raced in the '80s and '90s with Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey and Mick Doohan, he'd have seen that every weekend," the Australian told the official MotoGP website. "It was probably something that he wasn't particularly expecting; [he] probably expected to win the race easily like he'd dominated in the practices."

"Pedrosa put up so little a fight it would have embarrassed a Frenchman"

Some things in life are vastly underrated. Take bacon. It's never destined to be a premiere cut of meat like say an inch thick rib-eye steak or a rack of lamb. But because of its versatility bacon is an amazing meat product.
You can have it for breakfast, lunch and supper. It can perk up almost any dish from pasta to lasagne. It can compliment salads, pizza, stews, chilli, soup, sandwiches or plain leeks – it even smells amazing when being cooked. It short it's cheap, cheerful and amazingly complimentary but totally overlooked.
COLIN EDWARDS......IS bacon.

"One particular thing that Formula-1 can provide you, is that you know you're always exposed to danger. Danger of getting hurt, danger of dying. This is part of your life, and you either face it in a professional, in a cool manner, or you just drop it, just leave it and don't do it anymore really. And I happen to like too much what I do to just drop it, I can't drop it." (Ayrton Senna)

''It's going to be a season with lots of accidents, and I'll risk saying that we'll be lucky if something really serious doesn't happen.'' (Ayrton Senna, pre-season 1994)

''With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high'' (Ayrton Senna)
