had the red ring of death, m$ repaired it and got it back just in time for xmas . my nippers birthday today and i bought him guitar hero's 3, he was very excited. put disc in the 360 and it said disc unreadable. tried a few other discs but none could be read. so it will have to go back again.

i felt so bad this morning i went out and despite my better judgement i bought a new elite 360. if i didn't have so many 360 games i would have bought a ps3.

on top of this my car broke down last night and my pc c/ drive is playing up ,also purchased at xmas. im pretty fucked off today so dont fuck with me unless you want some

360's are a joke I'm on my third one and a friend is on his second, I stayed with the xbox for the same reason as yourself, if this one give me gip though I'll buy a ps3, Shame it had to happen on your sons bday

im hoping this brand new elite will be more reliable. fucking cost enough. i think the only way to keep gaming is have 2, then as one packs up you have a spare. m$ better watch out. if enough peeps complain to trading standard they will not be aloud to import them anymore. remember lada cars ? my laguna spending money is rapidly evaporating before i even get there.

Sorry to hear about the 360 troubles rog, I guess you have to expect it if you own one.

I know people who've had elites pop on them, and I understand the intercooler causes more problems than it solves (because it blocks one of the main ventilation vents).

Yeah, as Phleg mentioned, stay away from those intercoolers. Just make sure to have atleast a few inches of open space around it. I rest mine proped up on aluminum blocks so it has a inch of open space underneath it aswell. Knock on wood, I've never had a prob, except it scratching/eating a few games.

Yep, typical microsoft shit. I know 3 people who have had major troubles with their Xbox. I don't like the PS3 much either, as Sony are a c**t of a company.
Just wish they'd bring out a few bike games for the wii, which is the best console of the lot even though it's not near as technically advanced. Their nunchuk control is the best advancement in gaming in years.

ive been told by user's the wii is very over rated. it would not suit me because i cant play games like cod4 and gta 4 online with my mates around the world. maybe wrongly but ive always thought of the wii as a great kids console and the 360 and ps3 more for the adults and older kids.

You know, depends what you want. Played them all, the ps3 and xbox have far better graphics and computing power but the wii, for me has more fun factor. The controls, when you get used to them are far easier and more user friendly. I can see the merits of all consoles, I just think that nintendo have gone in a different development path. Be interesting to see their next console, when it's hi def like the others.

For a few days, then you get barraged by the Shovelware Nintendo allow on their system.

The only fun I've had with the wii has been at party's, and that was only fun for a 1/2 hour even when everyone was getting drunk. Wii's are the mopeds of the gaming world. I'd rather play duck hunt on the original nes.

wii's are fun for a while but they're like eating a burger when you really want a T-bone.

they do what they do very well but for some serious next gen gaming - it's gotta be a 360 for me

mabe if you bought yourself a 360 and got online gaming with us you might find when were not fighting debating about our hero's in gp, we are actually big kids at heart who like to have a laugh. there's several of us who get together on the 360 and chat over the airwaves while gaming.

Its a little white box of shit, the only thing making it sell is obviously the wii remote.
Knowing Nintendo they try to patent everything, but it wouldn't be that hard to bring some similar device out for Tvs or as a PC addon.
