A little history of the tree for those that have never been to Deals Gap.There are hundreds of bike accidents on this stretch of road every year,most ending up with minor injuries and wounded pride. Some result in serious injuries and some result in death,5 in the last year.The tree is called the Tree OF Shame, when you bust your ass on the dragon,you leave a sacrifice,a piece of your bike hanging in the tree for the Dragon.This is one of the best pratical jokes ive seen yet.

Good thread Povol, Man I'd love a crack at deals gap, I've read loads about it on other forums and watched most videos on youtube, stunning stretch of road

i have friends who have done the dragon numerous times but i have yet to get the chance to ride it. it's not really that far from me, about 7 hours drive, & my folks live about & hour east of charlotte. 1 of these days...
