I tought it would be a good idea unsure.gif if we had a thread for all our favourite Motard junk(discussion/clips/pics) Put it all in one place rather than starting a bunch of threads and looking for ages to find something of intrest

I'll kick off with this little collection

Yea I ride Supermoto's.. Its my biggest passion, I've joined in races over the last few years in the lower classes, its purely for fun and to learn..

I woul'nt say the AMA is more exterme than the World or European championship's mabey so for some individual European Countries championship,
The AMA tracks for the most part are held in empty car parks which is'int the problem really bcos some European races are run in empty car parks but most are either dedicated Supermoto tracks or Karting tracks with dedicated dirt sections

Its how the tracks are designed, the AMA are designed in a style very close to MotoX, which is fine in the States bcos thats where most of the riders learn their trade, AMA tracks are generally very tight, short and technical, but their nowhere near as fast as the World/European tracks which are just as technical, they have longer straights, and have better and longer dirt sections. Faster will always be better in my book.. Its not that the riders are slow, when Jeff Ward came over he surprised everyone with his speed and talent, its just the way the AMA tracks are designed..

From talking to some Americans they said Supermoto is an underground sport as it is every where really but even more so in the U.S. or at least it was at the time and unlike in Europe karting is'int that big in the States and they dont really have any dedicated tracks to Supermoto so good venues are hard to come by that fit well into their calander of 6 races, they just build the tracks for that wkend, its easy to believe how underground Supermoto must be when you consider how unpopular MotoGP and F1 are in the States but then you have to take in the size and population of the country

I dont want to seem all negative towards AMA Supermoto bcos its all Supermoto at the end of the day but just to give you an idea of what im trying to explain have a look at these clips.... also check out the 3rd clip in the 1st post its from Greece

This is one of my fav AMA tracks, Salt Lake City

Typical AMA car park style track,

France Saint Laurent

Totally agree with regards to you opinion on Supermoto there Odessa.

I rate it the best form of two wheeled motorcycle racing you will ever see (say two wheels because I love sidecar racing as well).

Will troll through my archives and post a few pics I have taken over the last few years in Oz.

Just a few I took at a meet earlier this year in Oz

First some from the Practice Day - Saturday

You have to love being able to get so close you can get shots like this without a zoom.

Ok, so then I started playing with zoom and all.

And sometimes you zoom just a little to close.

And then the quads come out. These guys see a camera and start playing.

Check the tyre rolling on the rim
