Didn't even watch the race yet. Just went to MOTOGP.com and there is was on the front page. Goddamnit. I guess I should have known better than to snoop around before I watched the race.

Congratulations to rossi. I think lorenzo may be a bigger threat to him than pedrosa for the title unless the honda pneumatic engine advances; Lorenzo's performance today under the circumstances was amazing.

Stoner's hopes for a championship defence now look forlorn; he may still contend in races in hotter conditions on the hard tyres on which he mainly won in the dry last year. Melandri and elias were pretty well as fast as him today on the medium tyres in the cool conditions.

Great race from Rossi. I think he really showed that he has definitely not forgotten how to ride.
Good to see Melandri and Elias getting things back on form.

What the hell happend to CEII?

Michelins seemed to last for most of the race just as fast as Bridgestones at a Bridgestone track.
So much for tyre Advantage.

4races and 4 different winners

Well, good race by Rossi and Pedrosa. Thought Stoner would do better.
Excellent effort by Jorge. Good to see Melandri finally getting some pace up.
The kawasaki's are a pile of shit and even though West has done nothing, he's going to take the fall for the factories incompetence.
Suzuki's - same shit as the kawasaki's.
Once honda get's the pneumatic engine sorted they're going to be so hard to beat - Pedrosa especially.

P.s - I wonder who's going to replace West now? I imagine that Melandri will have been given a bit of breathing space.

Max speeds were much higher in the race today. I think it may have been due to a stronger tail wind. This seems to have surprised some teams, who apparently did not adjust the 6th speed ratio accordingly - both Pedrosa and Capirossi declared their engines were revving too high in the long straight. ohmy.gif

Rossi had everything right and when it's like that he can still win no problem. I do not think Pedrosa could have won this one from Rossi in any way. cool.gif

As for Casey, wrong tyre choice - he was slower than in practice. But hey, the lad could smile when he makes a podium, instead of looking like he went to a funeral. rolleyes.gif

Lorenzo, wonderful resilience on his part and he saved his position in the championship - amazing. He needs to be more careful, and he will be contending this title to the end.

Melandri... I will wait a little before declaring him out of the limbo. Shanghai is a favourable track for both Ducati and Bridgestone (Elias also did well). But it will surely boost his confidence. smile.gif

Excellent race, same story as last year really. Dani did all that was possible but wasn't quick enough to force a mistake from the Doctor, who did everything right. Lorenzo's hero points double, Hayden disappoints again.

To consider Kevin Schwantz an equal rider to Rainey, Doohan and Lawson is to overrate him. His entertainment value, popularity and legendary status can be compared (and is arguably superior) to those he rode against, but he achieved significantly less on the track.

Great ride by Rossi and very impressive to set the fastest lap of the race close to the end of it cool.gif . If he keeps like that, i think he will win the championship.

Good race.

Rossi was dominant in the latter stages, Dani did good to trouble him for a good portion of the race.

Stoner, wtf?!

I set the alarm clock at 8.59am, just in time to see lorenzo in the warm up lap when his bike shut down on him. what a guy, I like him more than ever before! he showed so much character, first everyone passes him, then he finds his rythm and fights back again till 4th. great ride for him in his condition.

was so happy to see rossi win again biggrin.gif lets hope he can keep it up in the euro round now too!

Stoner at present .... next year??? Same thing ..... whoever is winning gets my vote ..... I'm thinking Pedrosa may be the man in 08 ..... oops did I say Pedrosa .... I think I meant Lorenzo !! Forget those two I'm back to Stoner... and a secret admiration of Dove too now.

Boring Boring Boring!

laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Well I find it funny .... that this race fit the criteria so many declare befitting of a boring race .... and yet huh.gif

Its shaping up to be a good year though .... there will be so much work being put into not getting a single DNF in that top 4 now.

Pedrosa is looking the goods

Lorenzo .... amazing to recover so many points

Rossi ..... I think this was his first good selection of Bridgestone tyres .... he was strong till the end as Stoner was last year

Stoner ...... I still don't think they are back to their winning ways but meh he's vaguely still in touch.
