Anyone else played it ?

Loaned my mates PS3 for the weekend cos I've always been a huge GT fan and he has the Prologue edition.

Graphics are very very good but I wasn't THAT impressed with the game - I think I prefer Forza 2

so, is it just all eye candy? The trailers make the game look like it should set a higher standard.

Yes! wub.gif

I'm hooked to it. Obviously you can't alter the paint, but apart from that it's MUCH better than Forza 2 IMO.

And that F2007... wow

Might have to get the 6 bucks out for this thing. F1 WC2007 is getting old as beating Alsonso every race is boring in the midland.

How's the in-car view? Online play? Dose it still have regional limiting play? What real world tracks?

in-car view is good - nice touch - personally, i hate driving in that position but it does look very good.

they also have a 'standing on the roof of the car' view - quite ridiculous.

bumper/chase cams are fine.

only played suzuka track but that was very well done.

on-line play is slow as hell to load - actually more like reeeeeaaaaalllllllllyyyyyyy ssssslllllllooooooowwwww. that said, I'm playing jap version over jap server so perhaps that's why ?

not sure about the regional limiting play.

i will hold my hands up and say - graphics are top drawer, sound is very good, it's very realistic, re-plays are awesome................... typical Gran Turismo

but, it is not & never will be 3 times better than Forza 2. the finshed article may be better but only just

PlayStation3 - it'll be good one day

Its a good game, they have really done a great job with the collision model of the online play.

online is a joke...

--------------------
Jerry Burgess: "Valentino moved through the field in Barcelona and everyone that he passed got a riding lesson."

"I think that if Casey had raced in the '80s and '90s with Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey and Mick Doohan, he'd have seen that every weekend," the Australian told the official MotoGP website. "It was probably something that he wasn't particularly expecting; [he] probably expected to win the race easily like he'd dominated in the practices."

"Pedrosa put up so little a fight it would have embarrassed a Frenchman"
