Can Gayliss hang with the Suzukis? They've been on it all weekend. The Spaniards all had a pretty rough time in superpole, so my expectations for them are low. Biaggi struggling too........

--------------------
To consider Kevin Schwantz an equal rider to Rainey, Doohan and Lawson is to overrate him. His entertainment value, popularity and legendary status can be compared (and is arguably superior) to those he rode against, but he achieved significantly less on the track.

Kiyo top Honda!!!!! But I expect Checa to be much better in the race.

I'm hoping Max N gets a win, this guy needs a boost.

Well, Race 1 was carnage!

I'm disappointed with Haga and Biaggi so far this year. I thought they were going to do better off the back of last season.

What a stupid move by Checa!

Thers a fantastic irony in this post phleq, after watching how the race panned out.

Careless Chucker is out to take his crown back fron Scud. I couldn't believe it was happening!

Race one made the majority of the world superbike front runners look like a load of amatuers. Far too many of them had unforced accidents, and the only two who looked to be riding well went down when checa removed his brain at the last corner. A real shame for both of them having done so well to get where they were, but Checa was silly. He was commited to that move way before he could judge how easy it was going to be, and they both paid for it.

i think your take on that last turn is spot on tom, checa lost the run of himself. bad for max, good for tv i suppose. race two made me happy to see nitro win. i had a good laugh at biaggi and xaus. there was no way max was gonna beat xaus becuase ruben owns a fair share of that team doesn't he. never beat your boss at sports.

Interesting weekend. Lots of checas in all classes, they even managed to crash on the cooldown lap in Superstock. Roberts looks like he back to his old self. Corti's slide into turn 2 was fantastic.

Supersport was fairly dull, Foray made it amusing as managed to go forward while looking back.

Superbike, Checa could taste his first win since 500's and was shitting himself with glee. He must have forgotten his reputation and promptly reminded himself why he hasn't won in so long. Bad luck for Max N, broken collarbone, tough break rolleyes.gif

The only battle seems to be for second in the championship, everyone else is tripping over one another and gifting Bayliss a larger points lead. Nieto manages to come out of this round in second with a 4th and 10th.

When oh when will Kagayama retire.

I thought race one (haven't seen race 2) was a great race..I don't think the racers looked like amatuers, there were great passes being made and great racing going on overall. Granted the last move by checa was ridiculous, everything up to that point was pure racing poetry. (I suppose even the last incident..lol)

I haven't jumped out of my couch like that for a motogp race in a long time...sad really..

I think Tom ment those of the frontrunners that went out, including Haga, Biaggi, Kagayama, Xaus...
When the numbers get that high I wholehartedly agree, they looked like amatures, and worst of them all Checa.
