Are you kidding? His form this season has been a massive let down so far.
-------------------- To consider Kevin Schwantz an equal rider to Rainey, Doohan and Lawson is to overrate him. His entertainment value, popularity and legendary status can be compared (and is arguably superior) to those he rode against, but he achieved significantly less on the track.

TRUE BUT WAIT AND SEE! Well i am not as optimistic as you, but you are obviously a fan so i understand. I'd like to see him fight at the front again, but i don't think he'll ever be world champ. -------------------- To consider Kevin Schwantz an equal rider to Rainey, Doohan and Lawson is to overrate him. you should never completely write off Haga Hes still underperforming by a significant margin. Nobody ever doubted he was fast -------------------- To consider Kevin Schwantz an equal rider to Rainey, Doohan and Lawson is to overrate him. The original claims were that Haga was on good form, and that he will be the world champion this season. At the time Haga had achieved 14th, 13th, 8th, 7th and despite winning a race today he lost points to the the championship leader and is now 81 points behind. That is still poor form and far from championship contention. -------------------- To consider Kevin Schwantz an equal rider to Rainey, Doohan and Lawson is to overrate him. As you can't re-title the thread, you don't post spoilers in a thread without that word in the title. It's called common courtesy for your fellow posters who may not have managed to watch the race yet. |

I am a big fan of Haga as well, but something has not been clicking with him this year so far, well until race 2 at Valencia (which I finally watched last night). This was the Haga I would like to see, battling his way up from a 7th or 8th place start to the front pack and then taking over the lead. Haga is someone you love to have in racing from a spectators point, as the man loves to push it and pass, quite unlike Corser who is mostly content to sit behind a guy the whole race (although I will admit Corser is looking much more aggressive this year). I can't agree with the original post however, Haga started out terribly this season, but hopefully he is improving and moving in the right direction now. He just has a huge amount of points to try and make up. I, as many others, would love to see him win the season but I am thinking we will season a man named Bayliss at the top this year.

Give me one race at post season. Everyone gets the same bike, tires, electronics, etc. Let them race it out so we can finally put to rest who is the best "rider". |
