Are we talking threads in general? or forums? please explain..when a post dies it simply drops off the front page.

Your timing is spot on as we are in the process of adding new forums, Ben has already created a seperate Superbike chat forum out of other motosport chat due to its popularity, and of course it makes things easier for everyone to post in the right place. What would everyone else like to see on here?

Its your forum after all, your views please.

agree with Dazza... we have as much freedom here on the forums to start whatever topic we want, (but of course upon the discretion of the mods,a nd the admins)...if the mods feel that a certain threads tackle the same topic, they usually merge them or close one to organize our posts.

I was on a rant last night, but felt the same about reading topics that had been covered last year. That is till I started looking back and realized with how much the topics and post came across the same, there was a varied perspective from older and newer members, and now I'm not so annoyed. I just need to open my eyes wink.gif

Then I think there should be some more merging of a few, or at least pin up a thread titled:

Who is better, Rossi or Stoner? Then merge every topic that comes under this heading.

Just a thought. This forum is as good as it gets, and really, this is a testament to those who run it. I've been on many other forums, judging from my post count here, I can say that this one is by far the best. So I would NOT change too many things.

its pretty irritating when there is 3 or more threads debating the same thing. i find myself repeating my comments.
i think it is more noticeable for member's who have been posting for a long time.

^ Thanks so far guys especially Jumkie for the nice comments, yes I think a lot of merging needs to be done, I think Frosty has that one covered (small Joke) wink.gif He knows what I mean.

But seriously the SB forum is up and running now and seems to be getting some nice traffic.

Now Other Motorsport chat was initially set up to cover everything else other than MotoGP, however times have changed somewhat from the name change to this site, yes we are a MotoGP first and foremost and always have been/will be.

What I am suggesting is do you want other mini forums set up just like the SB for instance for the other most popular talked about and leave the not so popular in Other Motorsport chat.

Here are the catagories.

125/250 cc

F1

Dakar/WRC

Touring cars/DTM

Trails/MotoX/Supercross

Nascar

SuperMotard

TT

My suggestions would be most definitely to give the 125 & 250 championships and F1 their own space like SB, and the rest leave in other Motosport.

What does everyone else think?

personally i think fewer forums. the other motorsport forum should cover most sports above. good idea starting a wsb forum tho i i would expect that to get as much traffic as motogp forum in the near future.

I agree with roger. Definitely wsbk as a separate topic was good, although whilst I watch all the races the intrigues don't fascinate me as much as motogp, but other motorsport should cover the rest, unless you wish to subsume the whole internet.

Points noted guys, what about the 125/250 it is related to the MotoGP and has lots of discussion. Anymore?

i think 125/250 should either be posted in the motogp forum or have it's own, personally i would say post in the motogp forum as they dont generate that much traffic to warrant it's own forum. but your the boss and know best. wink.gif

^ however, the motogp forum itself is a very busy forum...having the 125/250cc topics right along with them would make the forum really really confusing to look at...the 125/250cc topics might get even lost with the bucketloads of threads that get started after every motogp race
