OK so since some people have asked me to share the Italian wealth, here's what's been said this weekend. Maybe some's been said before and maybe some hasn't but here's what it was:
Loris Capirossi has 'definitely' been talking to Kawasaki. Pernat said, in an interview with the Italia 1 boys that Loris would love to be at Ducati for another year or two to 'finish off his career' however Ducati aren't as yet saying whether they want him to be with them next season. The options for Marco Melandri, on the other hand, seem to be Kawasaki and Ducati. It seems that last year he didn't join Ducati because although his contract with Gresini was through, Gresini had an option on him for another year and he chose to exercise that option. Apparently, there is a persistent rumour going around Romagna, (which is Marco's neck of the woods in Italy) that Marco has already signed a precontract with Ducati which will take him to the Italian team for 2 years. Gresini was interviewed and sounded pretty bitter. He said that for things to happen, everyone's got to believe in them. He was clearly implying Marco doesn't. However he is also in talks with James Toseland so it seems the Melandri Gresini duo will be over at the end of this year. Dovizioso, it seems, will be in motogp next season, and might be an option Ducati will consider. On the other hand Valentino's been hounded and ground down by the press for heartlessly dumping his long time, super-discreet (she never ever spoke to the press) girlfriend Arianna for well known starlet Elisabetta Canalis, best known for dating famous italian footballers and getting her tits out. Elisabetta For those who want a more in-depth look at her attributes  :linky Elisabetta was Vale's guest at Yamaha for the Mugello race. Arianna is said to be gutted. Vale's obviously thinking with the wrong head these days

Thanks for the info.
 Marco would look good on a Ducati. But Rossi's girlfriends would look better on....

It's actually worse than that apparently. Vale seems to have dumped good old Arianna for Elisabetta (or some say she actually did the dumping after she found some naughty messages he'd been sending from his phone), but seems that Elisabetta's not playing along as she's just found herself a hot new boyfriend. Vale's pursuing her anyway. What a time to start acting sixteen!!!!
As for Loris, I think his days at Ducati are numbered with his current performance. Livio Suppo wasn't giving anything away this weekend. Seems that they put 16's on the bikes but Casey went straight back to the 16 1/2's while Loris 'felt better' on the 16's. Still didn't really deliver though. I wonder if Loris looks good in green..... And from the way Marco's feeling these days, I don't think he's too worried about next year. Maybe the rumour about a signed pre-contract with Ducati is true. Either that or someone's putting Valium in his coffee. |

Love to have seen Loris end his days and Ducati. But Ducati need to look to the future, they are Half way to winning their first ever rider title. Excellent news for me what will boost the value of my ducati's .

I reckon Capi might move down to the Pramac team. I imagine they'll get good funding and good factory support if they have Capirossi, which will make them more competitive, which will make it easier for him to move. Win-win for everyone.

Thanks for the gossip Bikergirl, especially the links.. Did anyone else spot Rossi at the Wimbeldon watching Federer play (on Monday) He was sitting next to Federer's girlfriend/manager. The sorry a$$ american commentators did not even know who he was.
