ben, I'm having some problems with the forum. everytime I want to post stuff, the site doesn't work sad.gif I need to refresh the page, but that too doesn't work for me. everytime I need to start another internet-flip-thingie to go to the forum again. is it something you can fix or is it just my computer that needs a good look and a repair?

thanks smile.gif

(if there is already a topic for this, just move it svp, I couldn't find one...)

with the internet flip thingie I meant the Internet-explorer-browser button on the desktop.

I have that problem when I want to reply to a post and when I click the forumbutton in the toolbar (you know: home, forum, fantasy motogp, motogp etc. that bar) when I want to reply (this is what happend when I replied in the qatar topic yesterday) the page says that there's an error on the page and that I need to try again later or refresh it. (but refreshing it doesn't work)

It's the same when I want to go to the forum: it takes ages to load and then it says that I need to refresh the page, but again refreshing doesn't work.

I had this problem a couple of times before, but it's strange that other times I can just post away and there's nothing that says that there's "an error on the page".

If I'm the only one having this problem, I guess it's my computer that makes the errors, then I'll ask my dad if he can sort it out, maybe it's my internet provider who's making the problem

hmm, since the page is all in dutch, I don't know if it's helpfull. I've tried to translate some, maybe you can recognize the page

it says:

This page cannot be shown

The page whom your looking for, is not available at the moment. There might be some technical problems with the website or you must try to adjust your browsersetups.

try this:

- click the button refresh or try again later
- control if you correctly have spelled the website adress
etc etc

I realy appreciate your help ben, if you need more translation of that dutch-page, I'll do that

The page you get just means you are offline, that's why it can't find the page.

I can think of 2 reasons for your problem:

1) You are having problems with your ISP (Internet service provider). Your computer is OK because otherwise it would never work, it wouldn't behave randomly like it does. It's not your fault, your ISP should solve it.

2) It could be that you are overloading the connection, if you have emule or something similar running at full speed may create that kind of problems and makes IE very slow. If you get the problem try setting emule to minimun upload and download rates (or shut it down) and try again to use IE it should work fine if this is the problem.

Ditto what Teo said! I think your isp is being un-reliable.........................does it just happen with this site?

BTW..... http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/ is better internet browser imo...............tabbed browsing rocks!

teo I was thinking about offline and overloading my connection. it's realy stupid actually that I didn't think of it earlier:

my dad placed a router (don't know if this is the correct english word) a couple of months ago so that my sister's computer has internet as well.... everytime when she is on her comp, I have the problems with the forum. maybe that's overloading the connextion/blocking the forum?? dry.gif

I'll ask my dad to disconnect the router tonight, maybe it helps smile.gif ben thanks for the link, I'll give the link to my dad as well

I think you sister is using most of the bandwith leaving you with almost nothing, maybe she is the one downloading too much.

I suggest you shut down your sister's connection.

How much bandwith do you have?

yeah I'm having a problem, yet again. if I want to go to a topic I get a 'page not found' huh.gif refreshing the page doesn't work either... see:Attached File  slide_printscreen.bmp ( 1.33MB ) Number of downloads: 21

same happens if I want to go to the forum using the homepage

is it me and my computer, or did something changed in the forum? I have this problem for a couple of days now, and only when I use the home-computer (if I use the ones at uni, I don't have this problem)

--------------
edit: same happend when I wanted to post this message: page not found mellow.gif

Its coz we have a special module called "Mess with Dutch People's Heads".

The site will do random things if your Dutch, and you are Dutch M laugh.gif laugh.gif

I'll do some testing, but everything has been fine for me?

I'd suggest it could be something on your PC, but I really dont know what.

Just happens with this site then?

very funny Ben laugh.gif

it only happens with this site yeah. and I noticed some other things too, the links to the forum are different too: first it was just www.powerslide.net/forum, and now it's www.powerslide.net/forum/forums.html

and going from the main forum page to the newest post doesn't work either with me mellow.gif

another thing: if I post the last reply in a topic, the topic-icon thing still says I haven't read the topic, while I'm the last one posting a reply huh.gif

I have the same issue, except mine is in English. When I try to click on Last Post button, I get that. When I post I get and have to refresh a few times before my post is shown on the main screen.
